--3uo+9/B/ebqu+fSQ Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline I've restarted the generation of the "List of files and directories that do not match their mtree description" logs on bento in the hopes of addressing some of the large problems in this area now that we've got broken ports down to (hopefully) manageable and sustainable levels. KDE and GNOME appear to have significant problems in their pkg-plist files that are causing hundreds of ports to be left with extra directories after deinstallation. These directories presumably need to be listed in the pkg-plist where they are created. For example, KDE includes (at least the following) ================================================================ list of extra files and directories in /usr/local lib/perl5 extra lib/kde3 extra share/apps extra share/autostart extra share/config extra share/icons extra share/services extra share/servicetypes extra share/applnk extra (See e.g. http://bento.freebsd.org/errorlogs/i386-5-latest-logs/kdeutils-3.0.4_1.log ) And GNOME includes (at least) ================================================================ list of extra files and directories in /usr/X11R6 share/dict extra share/emacs extra share/java extra share/misc extra share/nls extra share/sgml extra share/skel extra share/xml extra man/de.ISO8859-1 extra man/en.ISO8859-1 extra etc/pam.d extra sbin extra Can anyone help in tracking these down?
