The fix you mentioned was for a different problem. I had a T20 for a while and nothing I did could get the sound working, on either -current or -stable. However, both Net and Open worked. I compared the Free driver with the Open one, and I didn't see anything too different which might cause this. I suspect this might be something to do with the way FreeBSD handles DMA or something.
