Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-questions@freebsd.org X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk Our mail server, horst.bfd.com, has been running 2.1.0R for the last 9 months. I've kept the sendmail upgraded to the latest 8.7.X release, and was already running 8.7.5 (from either -stable or -current, not sure which). Last week, when 2.1.5R was rereleased, I installed it on horst, as I thought it might clean up some problems we were having with an AHA2842 and SCSI tape drives. Anyway, I just noticed that horst is masquerading as horst.bfd.com, not bfd.com. In fact, whenever anyone sends mail via horst, (smtp from MS Exchange or pine), all bfd.com addresses get rewritten as horst.bfd.com, including the from address. I haven't had the chance to test mail sent to a non *.bfd.com address, but mail to other machines that have their own MX record also gets rewritten when horst acts as a relay. Has anyone seen this? Unfortunately, when I saw that 2.1.5R had 8.7.5 already, I deleted the source that I used to install it from last time.
