Or if you're looking to create an audio CD out of the mp3s, you convert them to audio files first. I use mpg123 to do that (it creates .wav files) and then use cdrecord to burn them to CD (burncd doesn't know about the headers in a .wav file), but there are a lot of other ways to do it.
