It actually makes a lot more sense than some other "rules" in English, like not starting a sentence with "and", or not ending in a preposition. FWIW, I thnk we should stop worrying about how many WS following sentences, and more about the TLAs and FLAs and wrds w/o vwls n thm that some people in netspace use...
