I logged off Gnome Killed those pids I mv'd ~/.gnome/sound/system back into place Logged off the system Logged back in as "stacey" Ran "startx" - waited for about the same time (2 - 2.5 minutes) for the Gnome Login GUI to appear. Sound is back though..., Shall I move sound/system back out of the way and try another?
