Robert Clark writes: Just as a guess, I'd think that the SHM stuff sounds a lot like the SYS V shared memory stuff. At one time, enabling the shared memory support required compiling a custom. Actually, i neglected to mention i did have all three SYSV options compiled in my kernel.
