hi all, i used to have a cable modem hooked up to my freebsd server, which then used natd to serve the other computers on my network with internet access. unfortunately i no longer have a cable modem and am trying to move to just a modem doing the same thing the cable modem used to be doing. unfortunately i can only get dip to work when the LAN (ed0) is down, it just hangs otherwise. oh, btw i'm running 2.2.6. thanks a lot doug jacobsen __________ "I thought you must be dead..." he said simply. "So did I for a while," said Ford, "and then I decided I was a lemon for a couple of weeks. I kept myself amused all that time jumping in and out of a gin and tonic." Arthur clear his throat, and then did it again. "Where," he said, "did you...?" "Find a gin and tonic?" said Ford brightly. "I found a small lake that thought it was a gin and tonic, and jumped in and out of that. At least, I think it thought it was a gin and tonic." "I may," he added with a grin that would have send sane men scampering into trees, "have been imagining it." -Douglas Adams, "Life, the Universe, and Everything" To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
