The '.' is for "current", the cutting edge. Not the releases.

Since '.' is your default you did here the same as me: fetching ports-all
tag=.

BTW: With this supfile, you went from 225R to 2.2-CURRENT, which is
different.

This is strange, you didn't supped the ports collection here... How could
your port tree be updated???

It's for 2.2.8-Release.

If you which to only receive the RELEASE, yes. If you wish to follow
2.2.8-STABLE, what you did was right.
