If you have a "proper" hot plug SATA controller you don't need to reinit=20
anything.

When I was testing a Promise 2300 the act of plugging the drive in caused a=
=20
new disk to show up (which was nice :)

This did not happen on the VIA 8237 controller (which, by the way, has a=20
really really crappy RAID function, avoid at all costs).
