Hello, Does samba allow a windows user from anywhere on the internet to connect to a unix server? And if so, is this done or shown (by computer name) in Network Neiborhood? I have installed it here and can see my unix (FreeBSD) box via network Neiborhood. It is rather good for ppl who dont have time or the inclination to learn unix. But I want to know if someone in England or Australia could use their windows box to see my FreeBSD box and use it. If the above is possible I can see some good benefits to the industry I am in. And please dont tell me "good morning" ... The world of unix seems to be larger than the universe itself.
