Howdy! I came across http://www.kegel.com/c10k.html#limits.filehandles while researching how to increase the number of network sockets available. It claims that kern.maxfiles must be set in /boot/loader.conf because of the need to allocate this early in the boot process. Is this correct, or is it Ok to just use /etc/sysctl.conf and set it after boot? thanx - steve To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
