Anyway, I did commit your patch, with one additional change. And that's a PORTREVISION bump, so that people using portupgrade will actually get the update :) Next time please use the following procedure to report a problem: Send a problem report using the send-pr(1) tool. Send a CC to both the port maintainer and to a relevant mailing list if there is one. In this case both are the same, so that's easy.
