After you reinstall 2.2.8-S, tell us if you are still seeing problems with ccd. (however, if you do find a bug in 2.2.x, it's very unlikely that it will be solved quickly - 3.x is the presently supported branch) TfH PS : what do you miss in a 3.x box ?
