On a tip I got from someone here on the lists, I disabled the ECC error
checking on my RAM in my system's BIOS and since doing that I've had
no problems at all using the pcm driver on my soundblaster live.
(tracking -stable from about mid-march to now)  Prior to disabling ECC,
I had frequent lockups when playing audio.
