I have searched the archives looking for a concrete answer as to whether the 1542 was going to be supported under the CAM stuff in 3.0--and I couldn't find it. So--will the 1542 be supported when 3.0 hits? I ask because just for fun I downloaded the floppy for the latest "beta" snapshot and tried booting my machine with it (I'm not ready to upgrade to 3.0 yet as I need to backup my stuff on CD or tape 1st...). Everything went smooth but the probes did not pickup my 1542 and thus my SCSI drive and CDROM were not picked up as well. Just wondering if something is "wrong" with the out-of-the-box beta code or if the 1542 didn't make it to the officially supported list under 3.0. Can someone please comment?
