hi i'd find this intresting, too. in addition i'd like to decrease the 10 seconds that it gives me for entering boot options to about 1 or 2 seconds. i'm using freebsd4.4 on a pc just for cd burning, bought a notebook and wantet to keep my 16x scsi writer so i assembled that pc just to go up as fast as possible, write some cd's and go down again every 2 or 3 days, or course there's no monitor attached to it, so it would be very usefull if it got up a little faster and powered down itself, because after typing halt in my ssh terminal i can only guess that it shut down properly when the hd stops making noise. thanks > -----Ursprungliche Nachricht----- > Von: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG > [mailto:owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG]Im Auftrag von Simon Perkins > Gesendet: Donnerstag, 11.
