Maybe the BSD Users Group can be a reality. I have some time but I am not a card carrying LUG member yet. Plus, I am not sure how long I will have some time. Do this, do that, you never know. Last, I need to get to the next LUG meeting anyway, try subscribing to the UMBC list.
