I have a usb mass storage device that supports multiple LUNs. It has two (mmc) 'drives' that can be mounted. When I insert the device, the usb subsystem finds the base device, and assigns da1 (da0 exists already) to the lun0 drive in the device. After a bit of experimentation, it turns out that if I manually 'camcontrol rescan 1:0:1" that the second drive is found and I can use it. Does the CAM system normally just assume one LUN and not bother looking for more? is this a problem with just usb devices? I have no multiple-lun scsi devices to test with... It is really not much of an issue now that I know to manually scan for the device after insertion, but well, enquiring minds want to know!
