I am tuning a 2xPII 300 (Oc'd 333) on an ASUS P2L97-DS. Snap 971210 works like a charm and ccd give me a nice 18.5MB/s. I'm now waiting for 4 9.1Gs ibm a 10.000 rpm...8)))). For now, i would like to now if i can do something to speed-up the network. The machine runs DFE500TX 100Mbps FDX card connected to a switch. My questions are : Is the 58Mbps i get a normal rating ? Can i get more ? Using what card ? And, a little off topic : how can i change the TCP window size advertised by my machine ? (tried sysctl on various parameters and SO_RCVBUF opts but advertizing continue to be 17280 (12*mss)). TIA for your replies....
