I did a regular make buildworld as per the handbook. Never had to do a
clean before while updating -CURRENT.

After Dave pointed to that mail thread, I did a make cleanworld and
then a make buildworld && make kernel (which succeeded) so I suppose
my /usr/obj is not of much use anymore :S

I'm afraid not, sorry. But if there's any other information that you
