Webmagick refused to install on my fbsd4.0 system, the 
thumbnail-index program appears to only work with existing
thumbnails. Ben's suggestion looks like something that 
would require some kind of programming, which I know 
nothing about. So, I am going to try imagemagick, once I
figure out how to start the program.
