I don't think this is good enough. For example, my xglobe port worked perfectly with qt1, and still does. It doesn't work with qt2 and hasn't been updated by the author, but the end user does not have to care. If it's a support nightmare for _you_ then you should have handed off maintainership to someone else instead of removing other people's working ports with no discussion. Could you point me to your message of 9 months ago where you announced your intentions to do this?
