I downloaded the FreeBSD 3.0-Release tree from ftp.freebsd.org (except for most of the packages) and burned it onto a CD-ROM here at work (Joliet format). I then took this CD home and made a boot floppy from it. On the system I am going to install FreeBSD to (no other operating systems on this box) I insert the CD into my CD-ROM drive and boot from the floppy. My configuration for storage is this: Adaptec 2940 with 1 Hard Disk (Seagate 1GB) a CD-ROM (Toshiba 6x) and a DAT Drive (Archive DDS1). THe boot floppy finds the SCSI controller and the hard disk and even lets me partition the hard disk. It won't find the CD-ROM though. Do I need to mount the CD manually? If so, how? Thanks!
