Neomail is very popular, but it only works for accounts on the local server it runs from. I use a free version of Emumail which has many features, but you have some minimal advertising. A banner on the pages the users use, and a 4 line tag added to each message sent using the software. It's incredibly simple to set up, and can handle hundreds of simulateous users if your mail server has a good disk i/o backend. Some of the features are much like Outlook, you have a personal address book, spell check, spam filter, folders and rules, etc. If you want a no ad version that's totally customizable, I believe it was $3500. Every time I complain ab out the price, one of the people always E-mails me back with a deal though, so it seems it's negotiable. It has worked well for us with about 200 users that I know of using it on a P-3 450 with 256 Meg and Ultra SCSI backend. Our mail server is a daul p3 450 with ultra scsi backend as well. We have a school that has 50 users on their machine all day long that's running a pentium 166 MMX with 128 MEg and ATA-66 backend too. http://www.emumail.com Chuck Rock Internet Services Manager EPC, Inc.
