Hi list, mounting a shared resource into the local file system, I know, can be done by using /etc/fstab. I know from the Linux world that there is a possibility to specify a mount point to be mounted by the user. In /etc/fstab only specify to the options *noauto, user*. My question: Exists in the FreeBSD implementation of mount the possibility to specify an overcome for this lack: "mount -o user" fails obviously, trying to mount a an fstab entry as a normal user makes nfs reporting: nfs: /home/lpruf: Operation not permitted. While executing the command as root successfully completes. In other words: I want to specify an fstab-entry or anywhere else to allow normal user mounting any specified ressources "by hand". Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Kind Regards, Lukas To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
