Thank you very much!* Hi all, I have a Laptop, which has ben running FreeBSD V4-Current (15.02.2000) and is now running FreeBSD V5-Current (21.05.2000). Under FreeBSD V4, my NE2000 compatible PCMCIA Ethernet adapter worked perfectly, and now, with the same pccard.conf and pccard_ether it won't work. One thing was under V4, too. If I inserted the option PNPBIOS to the kernel-config file, it didn't work. Now, in 5.0, the option cannot be disabled. This may be a reason. My Xircom Creditcard 10/100 doesn't work either, but this one didn't work under V4, too. My Questions: - Does anybody know, why that doesn't work (Card Greycell GCS2000, NE2000 Compatible) - How can I disable the PNPBIOS Option in the Kernel?? There isn't a line called option PNPBIOS anymore. Do I need to supply any more error messages? Well, here, they are: fredtop# pccardd -d -v -f /etc/pccard.conf Card manuf Grey Cell, vers GCS2000 Configuration entries: Index code = 0x20, driver name = ed0 Insert commands are: [...] fredtop pccardd[266]: pccardd started If I insert the card: pccard: card inserted, slot 0 fredtop pccardd[266]: Card "Grey Cell"("GCS2000") matched "Grey Cell" ("GCS2000") fredtop pccardd[266]: driver allocation failed for Grey Cell(GCS2000): Device not configured. In my Kernel Config file is the line: device ed In my /etc/pccard.conf are the following resource lines: io 0x240-0x360 irq 3 5 10 11 13 15 memory 0xd4000 96k Please respond to my normal from address (frederik@immob-muenchen.de), as I'm not subscribed to this list.
