This box is running userland ppp with -nat and -auto. It is the gateway for my internal Lan (Win9x, WinNT, Win2k) to access the internet. ISP has provided fiber to the building, and will be providing service with PPPoE. I want to redo my box so it still does NAT and Firewall for my Lan using the new service. I have purchased the book: "Building Internet Firewalls 2nd edition" by Elizabeth D. Sqicky, Simon Cooper & D. Brent Chapman. I want this to be tight and keep the rif raff out. With 24/7 access (instead of dialup), I have a bit of trepidation about hackers. Suggested readings and tutorials for setting up NAT, PPPoe, and Firewall ? thanks, Darryl To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
