Ok, added the line (use of irq 11 in my case) the box now completely boots, Yay :). No further pccard events are seen, insertion/removal of any card isn't seen by the kernel. When I boot the box without any card inserted, wait for multiuser mode and then insert the ed lan card, insertion isn't seen by the kernel. Tell me if you need further information.
