to add further clarification( helpfully provided to me by mike smith. with
great clarity and vigor. much vigor :-) )

4.4 supports cardbus controllers in pccard mode on cardbus controllers
that have a functioning pccard mode.

for instance pccard mode panics my hp800ct on install. warner thought that
might be a bios bug. dont know, because i blew the bios upgrade and now
have a lifeless lump. at least until the new one shows up from the same
guy i bought the last one from on ebay....

so, your cardbus controller is working in pccard mode automagically to
support your orinoco card
