Hopefully I'll have backtraces for I'm almost sure that the Gtk# problems with libpthread can be blamed on glib2, which should be fixed by now. Still not sure about the rest. There are still some bugs in the Web Services part of mono, I'm still working on it. My guess is that it's not a FreeBSD only problem. > anyone interested after 5.3 is released and I update my jail box. What's the error? I got monodevelop to build on NetBSD a while ago, I'll give it a go on FreeBSD. monodoc built fine although there are still some bugs. > By the way, I took a look a Mono Debugger this after noon and I > noticed some not too good news here: > > http://cvs.hispalinux.es/cgi-bin/cvsweb/debugger/README.FreeBSD? > rev=1.4&content-type=text/x-cvsweb-markup&cvsroot=mono > > Looks like getting it to work on FreeBSD is a while off. :( Well, that commit is from Jan 2003. Some of the comments (FreeBSD defaulting to userland threading) no longer apply as we have an almost bug free kernel-assisted threading implementation. I'll try to find some time to give it a go. Have you per chance contacted that Martin guy to see if he's still working on FreeBSD support? It would be very interesting to have other developers working on a FreeBSD/mono environment.
