Quoting in csh & derivatives is terrible. There's actually a variable like
"fixquotes" or something you can use in tcsh to make it more sane.
But I've been using csh for a long, long time now (1981? Certainly since
before 1984), and I don't think I'll be switching anytime soon.
When I relocate to heaven I might consider alternatives, but until then . . .
