I have RoadRunner and have setup no less than three FreeBSD machines via ftp using dhcpd. I have never had to swap cards, however, our local (SC) RR service may be different than yours. I did run into a situation where dhcpd would fail. Is your windows machine on the network when you try and set it up? You will get a 0.0.0.0 address if more than one machine requests an IP address. Make sure your windows machine is not on the network when you install. ...Michael... > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG > [mailto:owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG]On Behalf Of Caleb Walker > Sent: Thursday, August 31, 2000 2:50 PM > To: Alejandro Heyworth; freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG > Subject: Re: cable modem install.... > > > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > > RoadRunner is much different than @home.
