Yes and no. There's a big discussion about this in -hackers since it
appears to work only for some. I'm running it in 8bpp on a S3-card
(Trio64) with the S3 X-server that came with 2.1R (the rest of the
system is STABLE). No problems at all...

Why not take a look at -hackers. If someone solves the problem the
information is bound to appear there first. :-)
