The kernel boot freezes after that point, and my CD-RW is never detected. This time the trick of putting a CD into the second drive doesn't help. I've added back the atapicam and ATA_STATIC_ID options to my kernel. Haven't had a chance to try the latest kernel without atapicam. I posted a dmesg recently, let me know if you need another copy.
