I asked the same question and have been volunteered a couple of times over to come up with a plan to explain what packages are on those, and what are also on the 6 Toolkit CDs that come with the boxed set you can buy. With the installation CDs, I believe on disks 1, 3 & 4 are something like 2000 packages, which are the binary installations for the all the right stuff.
