Gnome stuff installed: I think we went over this once before, and you do have mozilla-0.9.8 installed, right? Have you tried this with nautilus-1.0.6_3? Some fixes were made relating to Mozilla support. Also, you might try rebuilding mozilla, then build Nautilus with the new WITH_FULL_MOZILLA option. It works wonderfully for me.
