Further to my earlier post, I've just connected my girlfriend's eMac mouse (silly wee thing with one button), and booted my 5.2-current partition. That mouse works fine there, so the software setup seems OK - the mouse itself is actually a Logitech one too. As I suspected, it looks like FreeBSD does not want to play nice with the Logitech receiver. What to do? Jonathan
