Hi, I actually went to RELENG_4_6 at home last weekend, with the intention of testing the READ(6)/WRITE(6) auto-detection code added to that branch. Unfortunately, my flash drive appears to have failed. When I get it working again (doesn't seem likely) or replaced I'll update this PR.
