Symptom: When running X under certain conditions (must be X server supporting S3V chipset accel., like XF86_SVGA, or XF86_S3V), and with certain programs, the machine will freeze instantly (no panic, nada). One way to reproduce it systematically: - launch KDE - in the KFM (file manager), repeatedly open the pull down menus. After 2 or 3 tries -> freeze. Sometimes the problem happens right after starting the X server (and at least 1 or 2 windows), but it's less common NOTE: This does NOT happen with XF86_VGA16, for example. I am running the 2.2CAM snap (had to with the 7890). Also: 1) P&P disabled, APM disabled Any ideas ? -- -[ Philippe Regnauld / sysadmin / regnauld@deepo.prosa.dk / +55.4N +11.3E ]- The Internet is busy. Please try again later.
