Since /usr/local/jdk1.X.X/docs is where we put the 1.1.8 docs, I'd prefer to keep them together. However, all the rest of the docs for the other java ports put them under /usr/local/share/java/XXXX I can see benefits to each. I *personally* would prefer the share directory becuase they would all be in the same place. > (5) Does anyone know why I have an empty /usr/local/share/doc/java/ directory? > I haven't created it, and I wonder what port did. I don't have one, but it looks like the Makefiles from the /usr/ports/java/jdk and /jre are the ones that create it. > (6) Finally, I am working on providing a port for the Orion web server. The best way would be for you to send a Problem Report with it (instructions in the Handbook), and let us know. We'll test it, and commit it. You can put it in both directories with the "CATEGORIES= java www" tag Patrick patrick@freebsd.org To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-java" in the body of the message
