KDE is unfortunately quite the buggiest WM I've ever experienced. In my first two hours of trying it out (on -CURRENT), I experienced more coredumps, mysterious freezes, disappearing mouse cursors, etc, than I cared to live with. Unfortunately, KDE 1.0 is not a stable release. Perhaps it will become more usable in the future, but even then I can't see myself using it unless certain features were added (namely the ability to have virtual desktops that scroll, instead of just jumping you between them, and preferably a more modular installation procedure so I can get rid of all the bloat from utilities I don't want and will never need). This question does not belong in -hackers anyway; I have rerouted it to -questions where it belongs.
