To: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org cc: Hello. It is my understanding that DVD drives are detected by the acd driver and just look like big CDs (assuming that the DVD has an ISO9660 filesystem on it). I am wondering if this is also true for SCSI DVD drives. Does anyone have a favourite model that they know works? Also, I am interested in DVD data disk authoring. I am aware that cdrecord seems to support this, but I am after a recommendation for a DVD-RAM writer and a DVD-ROM burner that are supported by cdrecord. If there is no such support, does anyone know of other free / commercial software to achieve this?
