I've tried a number of gyrations to get this fixed, all to no avail. I'm running a build of source I fetched from CVS on the 24th. I installed the version of cdrecord that was included in the ports tree supped at the same time. This is a SCSI CDR drive; cdrecord says: Cdrecord release 1.8a20 Copyright (C) 1995-1999 Jörg Schilling scsidev: '1,5,0' scsibus: 1 target: 5 lun: 0 Device type : Removable CD-ROM Version : 2 Response Format: 2 Capabilities : Vendor_info : 'YAMAHA ' Identifikation : 'CRW4260 ' Revision : '1.0g' Device seems to be: Generic mmc CD-RW. Using generic SCSI-3/mmc CD-R driver (mmc_cdr). Driver flags : SWABAUDIO Mounting the cdrom images (via vn) and comparing those to the source works like a charm. Buring a CD-RW from that image and testing that works like a charm. Burning a CD-R apparently works, but when I try mounting and reading data from it, I get: Apr 25 00:29:37 guru /kernel: cd9660: RockRidge Extension (cd0:ahc1:0:5:0): READ(10). Same kind of thing when comparing the bits on the raw device with the image I burned the thing from. I get the same results using the CD-ROM drive on the machine. I'd suspect hardware errors, but then why does it work with CD-RW and not CD-R? Any help would be *greatly* appreciated! Thanx,
