I've got it working except that I have to use IP addresses instead of names. That tells me that I don't have DNS available. In looking at the /etc directory I note that there is no resolv.conf file present. Should there be; or, am I just supposed to create one? I'm concerned that not having at least a sample resolv.conf file present in /etc may indicate that I don't have some package or something that I need installed. Is that the case? TIA for any input. ... doug _____________________________________________________________________ Doug Jolley mailto://doug@bigwheel.net http://www.bigwheel.net Don't bogart that file, my friend.
