Of course, this requires that you have PHP installed and compiled with support for MySQL. This is pretty easy to do and you should find instructions included with the PHP distribution. The basic steps are to compile PHP with MySQL support and then recompile Apache. Alternatively, you can use Perl or C++ to create an interface, but they lack the ease and flexibility of PHP.
