Which begs the question ... why? Is "dangerous" dedication really all that dangerous? I have yet to find myself installing a second operating system on a partition on a disk that already has FreeBSD on it. The last time I actually *used* a boot manager was when I was using an NE2000 ISA Ethernet card whose configuration software ran in DOS. Even then, I eventually copied the config utilities to a floppy and turned the DOS partition into extra swap. What's so dangerous about not using DOS-style partitions?
