--- Comment #3 from Timothy Beyer <beyert@cs.ucr.edu> ---
I finally found the nxssh binary, but the problem is that it is a binary-on=
ly
application. I found it in the official nomachine distribution (I used the
Linux versions on https://www.nomachine.com/download, I don't see any source
distribution at all) in both the client and server tarballs inside that
tarball.

It is possible that nxssh can run under the linuxulator, especially with its
new improvements, but I'm not sure if it is worth it, since it isn't open
source.

Right now I personally use xrdp with considerable success in production on =
both
FreeBSD as well as Linux (it has been extremely fast and stable, and is now
compatible with modern applications now that it uses xorgxrdp), and also
sometimes vnc for remote access as well.

While I do think the NX protocol is important, proprietary bits like nxssh =
are
highly discouraging. I have run into state retention issues with the older
open source NX implementation, and I don't recall if this or neatx is really
any better in that regard.

The commercial version is reportedly the best, but as previously stated, it=
 is
binary only, so that may be a task for the linuxulator.
