We use squirrel-mail exclusively and connect directly from the SM host to the IMAP host. The error message we are receiving is the subject line but I repeat it here for completeness. CYRUS/imaps[92001]: SASL cannot connect to saslauthd server: Permission denied The only thing that changed was the pkg upgrades on the IMAP and SM hosts. The failure to authenticate errors commenced immediately following. I am using this temporary email address because, obviously, I cannot read anything that arrived to my existing mailboxes. Likewise, this is somewhat urgent. I have been investigating this for the better part of three hours and have gotten nowhere. Any helpful advice is most welcome.
