After adding the second drive I then had to alter the code so that it would turn off messages (aka disconnect) otherwise the timeouts kept on coming back. I had a thought which suggested that the TMC-885 actually had problems with the disconnects, not the blind xfers and turned the blind assembler xfers back on. Zowie! it pulls something over 900k/sec off the Wren 6, and 400k/sec off the Quantum. It also passes my stress tests. Now that I know that the TMC-885 has a problem with disconnects and the like, I'll have a look at the -current seagate.c and see if I can fix it. Stephen I do not speak for the Worker's Compensation Board of Queensland - They don't pay me enough for that!
